Knights first wild ditch chicken was a pretty one. Saturday afternoon was awesome. #fetchingfeathers #pheasanthunting #uplandhunting #hipuplander #snowstormsrule #shootingwithaduckgun #gundog #birddog #labradorretriever
Ramen. Coffee. Fire. 3 essentials for an archery elk hunter that is constantly getting rained on. #thingsthatmakemehappy #gamechanger #archery #elk #diy #gofurtherstaylonger #vortexoptics #rmef #lonepeak #rainstorm #altitude #fire #kifarulife #vortexnation
Yesterday we had a successful tree hunt and even found Santa.
Last week I made the decision to get Knight an actual opportunity with birds. He’s 8 months old. I ran him with no special controller(leash, ecollar or even a regular collar). There are things that need to be cleaned up for trialing and testing but as far as hunting goes. He did his job. Flushed all 4 birds within a half hour all within 10 yards of me, i just couldn’t shoot i was too excited😂. He shows a ton of style and has tell tale(birdy) signals. Later that day he was flushing wild birds. I’m excited to see where we go from here. #gundog #birddog #keepkickingdirt #pheasant #hunting #britishlab #naturalability
This years waterfowl season was a good one. We shot plenty of birds. Most of all we had a good time. This picture sums up the slow moments. @davidvoigtlander and I were working on some product shots. That turned into me mocking the Folgers commercials. Huckleberry Quinn thought it was funny. I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or bad. The landscape seems colorless in November to most. Not to duck hunters though. #endlessmigration #duckhunting #waterfowl #migrators #mallard #tanglefree #greenhead #bossshotshells #minnesota
